About the Opportunity

The Communications and Engagement Lead is accountable for developing and delivering Community and Stakeholder Communications Engagement plans for the portfolio assigned within the Strategy Portfolio and Executive Communications branch.
They will utilise their excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage internal, community, council and industry stakeholders in support of these plans.

About You

  • Well-developed skills in developing and implementing significant community and industry consultation and stakeholder engagement programs across a diverse portfolio of high-profile government initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coach others and write clearly and simply for a wide range of audiences in a variety of styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage issues that could impact on organisational reputation or achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to lead complex communication and engagement projects.
  • Ability to provide expert advice to business areas and senior management on strategic engagement opportunities to support activities, projects and programs undertaken by DoT and the Victorian Government.
  • Ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop employees in effective community engagement, communication and stakeholder management.
